User Guide
Summary
Before usage initial configuration is needed, this is covered in section Initial configuration.
During opeation several settings can be overriden temporarly, also here you can see various stats.
Configuration is divided int 2 subtasks:
- Registraion in User portal - this is to be done only one
- Device configuration - this has to be repeated for every device
Registration to User portal
- Go to Registration page, right side of upper menu
- Enter required info and press Register button below
- we will send you email with confirmation
- Go to you email client, search email from Akuu, open it and click on the link in email.
Device Configuration
This process is composed of 2 major tasks:
- Configure wifi on Device:
- Connect NRG Device to power system
- on your computer with wifi or mobile phone go to Wifi settings, serach and connect to network named akuu_*****
- open browser and type in address bar http://192.168.4.1
- copy Hostname value (or write it on piece of paper), you will need it in next task
- enter your WiFi information, at least AP1 SSID and AP1 Password
- click Save button
- device should reboot and connect to your WiFi
- Register device in User portal:
- Login to User Portal with your email and password
- you should be presented with Registered Devices page
- click Register Device button
- for Device Name give descriptive name, likely based on role or location
- for Topic enter exact Hostname obtained from step 4 above Configure wifi on Device section.
- click Add button
- Device should now be in Registered Devices page
To view or change specific device settings open Registered Devices page and click on relevant Device.
On Device Settings page detailed information about Device is displayed, following interactions are supported:
- click on Schedule line will display todays schedule, which device is following, Green bars are for Power On hours and Red bars for Power OFF hours. Gain is approximate financial benefit from selected schedule today compared to permanentley connected device consuming same amount of energy
- click on IP address line will open page from Device (only if it's reachable from your current network)
- click on Select Date opens calendar and enables to select desired date to view consumed energy graph. click Go after selecting required date.
On Device Settings page, left side new menu is presented offering following functions:
- Edit Device Name - used to change Device name, which is displayed in User Portal
- Change Schedule
- Select New Schedule from dropdown below device info, number after country code (ee) indicates, how many hours in a day device is Powered ON.
- click Update Schedule button
- Override Schedule - is used for temporary overrides
- Select New Schedule from dropdown below device info, use schedule name ending with
- 24 for Power ON
- 0 for Power OFF
- Enter number in Hours field below, for how many hours to override
- click Update Schedule button
- Custom Schedule - used for 2 zone schedule creation
- Select Base schedule according to Total Powered ON hours required, this will be later split into 2 periods. First period gets hours, that remain after period 2 substraction.
- in field Period 2 start hr enter hour value (1..23), for desired period 2 start
- in field Period 2 pwr hrs enter hour value (1..22), for desired Power ON hours
- click Add
- to make use of new custom schedule, follow Change Shedule procedure.
- Toggle load - used for testing mostly, temporary, will cancel automatically within few minutes
